Baical is a Post Punk Band from Halle (Saale), Germany. Baical has a romantic dreamy familiarity of  Ian Curtis- the beloved lead singer of the band Joy Division.   In Baical song YR LIPS from their first e.p. release title Euphoria is a perfect example of  the dreamy familiarity as I described in beginning of this post.

Rancid is a delightful punk band hailing from Bay Area, California. 

I remember when Rancid came out with their phenomenal album "And Out Come the Wolves", I was 15 yrs old laid up in the hospital about to have major surgery when a nurse with red hair and green eyes
let me listen "And Out Come The Wolves" on her portable cd player after she found out I listen to the punk bands  Bad Religion, NOFX, and Black Flag- what a kick ass nurse she was.

Okay, now it's time to do a mini-review.

Rancid new song "Telegraph Avenue" from their latest album, "Trouble Maker," is very catchy and moving, leaving "Telegraph Avenue" memorable and permeating the punk rock soul to stay true to oneself.  Go check out Rancid latest album Trouble Maker.

Moaning- The Same

Moaning is a fantastic post punk band from Los Angeles, California.  Moaning has the sound of  the classic and legendary post punk/new wave band Joy Division- a band that has inspired numerous bands throughout the decades.  You can especially hear the Joy Division sound in Moaning video for their song, "The Same."

According to Moaning' s official twitter page, they have signed to the famous Sub Pop Records that release early albums by Nirvana, TAD, Mudhoney, and Soundgarden to name a few.

The Toxenes

The Toxenes is a surf / psychobilly band from Minneapolis, MN. What can say about The Toxenes, other than these lovely ladies rock with a raw sound that resembles bands like: "The Cramps" and dare I say "Hellcat and the Prowl."

The Toxenes,with their surf/rockabilly riffs and their aggressive darling punk vocals.will make you want to mosh or, do that classic dance style  from 1950's called the Lindy Hop with your pals or your significant other.

American Goner 

American Goner is a Indie Raleigh North Carolina Alternative Rock n Roll band.  American Goner has great very creative lyrics and music that reminds me of  the alternative rock band Seven Mary Three, it's very evident in the song  "In The End We Were All We Ever Really Had." from their album Lula.  I America Goner has great potential and I hope they will keep moving forward and put out more music.  Check Out American Goner and spread the word about them.

Iron Chic - My Best Friend (Is a Nihilist)

Iron Chic is a decent Punk Band from Long Island NY that play songs that are acceptable.  Your probably thinking ,"Mike your a jerk for saying Iron Chic plays acceptable songs."  Yes, I'm in total agreement if I didn't read it from the Iron Chic own site description.  In my honest opinion Iron Chic is fantastic punk band with superb melodic power, weaved with exquisite emotional lyrics with a hint rebellion.

Berthold City- Moment of Truth Demo '17

Berthold City is a Hardcore Straight Edge  Band from Los Angeles,Ca   I found out about this band from following RevHQ and War Records on  twitter. Berthold City- Moment of Truth Demo '17 has so much power that it gets your blood pumping with full of excitement. Berthold City reminds of the band "Chain Of Strength" another Straight Edge Band from Southern California.  I hope Berthold City will turn their Moment Of Truth Demo into a full length album, and hopefully it 'll spark a resurgence  of the L.A. Straight Edge Punk subculture.

Fashion Week - Even When The Sun Goes Down

Fashion Week is an Alternative band from Columbus OH.  I was given the opportunity to listen to their latest song titled "Scars" yet to be release. Fashion Week did an amazing job with  "Scars" it's a very catchy tune with kick ass lyrics -it reminds me of  Caged The Elephant meets Imperial Teen. I hope Fashion Week will release "Scars" to the public soon, but until then here is another fantastic song from Fashion Week called "Even When The Sun Goes Down" From their 2016 E.P. titled "Murfreesboro", take a listen and spread the word.

Haunted Like Human - River (Come Back Up)

 A few months ago, more like back in late July, I wrote about Haunted Like Human and how the indie duo from Nashville, TN sounded  like certain musicians, and I must humbly disagree with myself.  Haunted Like Human is much much more, after listen to the song" River (Come Back Up)" the first single off from  their debut album, Ghost Stories- Haunted Like Human is poetically soulful has the potential to being a major indie-folk act with the likes of Ani Difranco and Elliot Smith.

Last Light is a melodic hardcore/punk band from in Orange County, California.  What can say about Last Light? Well, their an awesome band with refreshing sound the way hardcore should be. If you your fan of bands like Quicksand, Dag Nasty, and Fugazi like I am, then you will dig Last Light.

Rozwell Kid - Precious Art

Rozwell Kid is a new power pop rock band hailing from West Virginia. Rozwell Kid reminds me of those  90's indie power pop bands- KnapSack and Small, along with the commercially successful bands Foutains of Wayne and Weezer.  Rozwell Kid latest album titled "Precious Art" is out now on the Los Angeles independent record label, Side One Dummy.  If I had to choose a favorite song on their latest album, "Precious Art" it would be,"Boomerang,"it has a kick ass intro, catchy music ,and lyrics that make's you want to turn up the volume on your stereo to piss off the neighbors.

The Grumblers is a pop punk/indie rock band from Los Angeles, CA.  The Grumblers was started by two talent ladies that wanted to write crabby songs.   Oh, did mention these ladies are from two well known bands- KimShattuck  lead vocals/guitar for  The Muffs and Hillary Burton  lead vocals/guitar for  the band Honeychain.

Haunted Like Human is a indie folk duo from Nashville, TN.  If I could give a comparison to what Haunted Like Human sound like with out sounding like another cliche douche bag music reviewer, it would be their sound is reminiscent of the likes of  Sara Bettens -lead singer of K's choice, Joan Baez, and a acoustic version of Fiona Apple, but with more soul.
